An overview and rationale appropriate for everyone, although the intended audience seems to be secondary music educators. There's a great section on vocal activities for trans and gender expansive students.

The Gender Creative Child (2016) by Diane Ehrensaft
While meant for therapists and medical professionals, this book talks more on gender identity development and how to support trans and gender expansive kids. Easy to read!
